Besides the particular interest in urban matters, Tarde was conceived as a collaborative project that seeks to stimulate collective initiatives to create, experiment, and think together. Following that spirit, and also to extend and complement the disciplinary handbook’s scope on urban ethnographic research, we are happy to announce a series of workshops —at least one per edition— to discuss and expand each number of Tarde with colleagues all around the world.
Our first workshop will be online and carried out on October 25th at the University of Texas at Austin. The meeting, hosted by Prof. Marina Peterson and the Bureau for Experimental Ethnography, will introduce and discuss the concept of glitch infrastructures expanding it beyond sidewalks. Also, we will talk about zine making, and discuss other ways to create and share anthropological work.
